Biography

Frank Truesdale was born in August 1860, died on June 15, 1925, and buried in Falls Cemetery. He was also a Town of Greece Highway Commissioner.

In 1905 the Town Board minutes make first mention of electric power in the town. A franchise is granted the Albion Power Company for sale and distribution of electricity in Greece. In 1908 a notice warns autoists and motorcyclists that speeding in Ridge Road will be prosecuted. Constable Albert Baker is instructed by the Town Board to arrest violators of the 20-mile speed law. In 1909 first mention is made in Town Board minutes of a salary for the highway superintendent. The rate is set at $3 a day.
