Biography

Charles H. Banker was born in 1843. He was appointed Supervisor on March 27, 1901 until his death on April 24, 1901. Banker Place, a street off Dewey Avenue, was named after him. He ran a cider mill and general store near his home on Dewey Avenue at the railroad tracks near Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. This area was called Barnard Crossing.
