Biography

Biography

Asa Rowe was born in 1805 and died in 1895. Asa Rowe’s family were the original King’s Landing Settlers. He established the first commercial Nursery in Monroe County. His nursery was on Lexington Avenue, which at that time, was named Rowe Street. He was a lieutenant in the New York State Militia, the Greece Town Clerk, and in 1837 was appointed Post Master of Greece.
