Biography
James S. Stone was born in 1810, died in 1892, and buried in Charlotte Cemetery. He was a farmer.
James S. Stone was the son of pioneer Enos Stone, who owned a lot of the land on the East side of the Genesee River. He built the first house, a log cabin, and saw mill on the East side of the Genesee River, where James Stone was born. Enos Stone was the President of the Pioneer Association organized in 1847. James S. Stone was a founding member of the Junior Pioneer Association organized in 1855.
