Term Highlights

The town acquired Braddock Bay Park and Marina. He led the effort to complete Route 390 to the Parkway. The town purchased the Snell Farm land, which is now the Town Campus. In 1988, Mr. Riley was instrumental in negotiating the Wegmans Food Markets sale of a house that was formerly owned by Gordon A. Howe, to the Greece Historical Society for $1.00 and generously funding its move. He also arranged for a 40 year lease of Town land to the Greece Historical Society. It was the first building on what is now the Town Campus. The Police Department was reorganized from 22 to 89 officers. The Greece Library added four neighborhood branches. The town established a Senior Citizen Center. A multi-million-dollar flood control system for Greece’s Lake Ontario south shore was built.
