2:00 pm: A Tour of Greece Neighborhoods

April 16, 2023

A Tour of Greece Neighborhoods by Maureen Whalen and Bill Sauers.

Have you ever been driving through a Greece neighborhood and wondered about some of the homes? How old, who lived there, or what style a house might be?  It’s an interest shared by both Maureen and Bill, who took most of the photos for this presentation. This Sunday afternoon we look at Greece homes (and a few other structures) that are historical, famous, beautiful, or just simply interesting.

1:30 pm: Ceramic Exhibit

April 30, 2023

This one-day exhibition by Daphi Postl, shows a series of ceramic wheel thrown sculptural vessels. Daphi creates large scale vessels ranging in height from a few inches to five feet tall. They are often thrown in sections, then assembled and shaped. This rhythmic, tactile process aids in the winding journey that comes with healing.

Daphi Postl is a 23-year-old ceramic artist doing an artist in residence program at Rochester Institute of Technology. While pursuing her degree at RIT with a major and minor in Psychology and Philosophy, she spent the rest of her time in the studio with clay. During this time is where she discovered her love for the natural flow and rhythm that is fully present in ceramics.
