In 1932 Hal Roach produced a movie entitled “The Music Box” with Laurel & Hardy, Billy Gilbert. and others.   Laurel and Hardy are delivering a crated player piano to a house at the top of a huge outdoor set of stairs..  Of course, this is not without incident as the boys encounter numerous pitfalls along the way.  The film won an Academy Award and a citation “Best Short Subject (Comedy)” of 1931-32.  The steps are still there, and they are an historical landmark.

Wally Rust will show the boys’ climb up the steps and photos of how the steps appear today - including a rare view of what is at the top.  You will also hear trivia about the steps, the piano, its crate, and the current signage and memorial plaque.   This talk is loaded with fun!
