Dave Shield will present a program on the history of the Erie Railroad in the Rochester area, including a comparison on how railroads work in the past versus the present and a history of the Rochester and Genesee Valley Railroad Museum.

Dave Shield is a trustee and the trip chairman of the Rochester and Genesee Valley Railroad Museum as well as a member of many railroad organizations.

Due to unforeseen circumstances our April 10th program about WXXI with Norm Silverstein has been rescheduled for September 11.

Replacing Mr. Silverstein will be a program on "George Eastman’s Healthcare Philanthropy" with Kathy Connor, Curator of the George Eastman Legacy Collection at the George Eastman Museum.

Free Photo Scanning and Preservation Event
Saturday, May 5th, 2018, Greece Museum, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Back by popular demand, this is the third year Greece Historical Society is hosting a free photo scanning event. Local members of the Association of Personal Photo Organizers and experts in scanning and preserving photos will be on hand – Kate Jacus, The Photo Curator; Bruce Holroyd, Digital Scan Solutions, and Nancy Carr, Preserve a Photo – will be using professional scanners at each station. Visitors can stop by any time during the day with up to 50 photos or slides. Be sure to bring your own USB memory stick or card.

The Museum will be open during the event for visitors to tour our latest exhibits. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Mother’s Day by preserving your family memories.
