7:00 pm: A Greece Resident's Career in the CIA by Dan Caster

March 10, 2020

Dan Caster will focus on how dynamic events could take a Greece resident all over the world supporting some of our nation's most sensitive intelligence missions.  Moreover, he will discuss how opportunity and risk taking can lead to a very fulfilling career.  He will not discuss sources or methods of gathering intelligence but, will go into how US Intelligence/Military/Law enforcement/Diplomacy function overseas.

Mr Caster has an intimate understanding of how our nation prosecuted the war on terror and, can provide a comprehensive overview of current events from a career intelligence officers perspective.

Dan Caster is a Greece native who graduated from Athena High School in 1979.  Upon graduation, he served four years in the US Air Force teaching both US and foreign military personnel.  After completing his enlistment, he continued to serve in the USAF Reserve as he completed his college education.  After graduating from RIT in 1989, Dan went on to serve 22 years in the CIA.  During his career at CIA, he went on to serve in over 25 countries with almost 12 years of overseas deployments.  He retired in 2012 as a decorated officer with the grade of GS-15 (O-6) and moved back to Greece where he currently resides with his family.
