Early Baseball History by Joe Territo

May 10, 2016

Joe Territo will discuss the evolution of our national pastime from the 19th and into the first part of the 20th century. This was a period of rapid change for baseball as it moved from a game played by children to a popular adult club sport. An interesting Rochester connection to the dawn of baseball will also be revealed. This presentation will also include a display of authentic baseball artifacts to help demonstrate the role equipment played in the early game’s development.

Joe Territo is a Town of Greece resident who serves as President of the Rochester Baseball Historical Society. He is also the team photographer for the Rochester Red Wings. Registration is required for this program. You may register online at the Greece Public Library website www.greecepubliclibrary.org and go to calendar and click on event.
