Irish Families of the Town of Greece by Marie Poinan
The Irish were among the earliest settlers in the town of Greece. Some came after the Revolution and War of 1812, while many bought land and stayed in the area after they helped to build the Erie Canal. Most of the families were here long before the potato famine of the 1840s. This program was previously presented at the Charlotte Library in March.
